JEA and NSPA postpone
opening fall-convention registration

Due to recent troubling trends in the COVID-19 pandemic,
JEA and NSPA have decided to postpone the opening of registration
for the Fall JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention.

The safety and well being of our members and students are our top priority.
We continue to assess the complex landscape
as we engage in extensive discussions daily
to explore all options at our disposal.

We will release more information as the situation unfolds.
We encourage all of you to get vaccinated
and take every precaution necessary to help end this pandemic.

The convention now requires
a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test.

Our policy also includes on-site masking and maintaining social distance.
Learn more from our Aug. 16 statement.

Convention registration,
which was to open Sept. 14,
has been postponed.
